Students with the driving intelligence perform best when they are given a task that requires decision making, responsibility, and coordination.

Lesson Idea: Building a Budget

1. Give each student a hypothetical situation for when they graduate from high school. (Job, Income, etc.)
2. Students then develop a budget to account for all living expenses.
3. When the budget is complete, we add in a traffic violation, traffic accident or both.
4. The students must reconfigure their budget to reflect the cost of repairs, payment of ticket, and increase in insurance.
