Driving Intelligence Defined

The creation of the world is a heavily debated topic.  Whatever your belief, the driving intelligence began when the first mode of transportation was developed.  This intelligence continues to grow with every new form of travel from boats to airplanes.  This discussion of driving intelligence focuses mainly on the operation of an automobile, however.

People with the Driving Intelligence have the following skills:

1.  Coordination:  Drivers must make split second decisions in reaction to a traffic situation and execute those decisions smoothly.

2.  Awareness of Physical Condition:  A good driver will know their limitations and take corrective action for deficits. (ie. corrective lenses)

3.  Mental Skill:  Good decision making and risk management is required.

4.  Social Skill:  A good driver must realize that they are sharing the road with many others.

5.  Emotional Stability:  Good drivers remain calm while driving.
